Yunnan Agricultural University, classified as a provincial key university, is located in Kunming, the capital city of Yunnan province, China. Agricultural Institute of National Yunnan University was the original institution of YAU.amalgamated with Yunnan Agricultural Labor University in 1971, Yunnan Agricultural University was founded. In 2003, this university was allowed to recruit candidates for doctoral degrees and it initiated post-doctoral studies in 2007.
The university consists of 18 colleges, 18 research centers, 59 off-campus teaching bases, 5 national platforms, and 29 provincial and ministerial scientific research centers.
