Southern Medical University was previously known as Military Medical University of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army. The university was founded in 1951 and was nominated as a national key university in 1971. It was renamed Southern Medical University in 2004 after the university was moved into Guangdong. This is among the first batch of universities in the country and is one of the best for medical education.
Although the university is mainly focused on medicine (MBBS) it also covers science, engineering, literature law, management, linguistics, and pedagogy.
