Jiaxing College is a general undergraduate university formed by the merger of the former Zhejiang Economic College and Jiaxing College with the approval of the Ministry of Education in March 2000. The university is located in Jiaxing and its history can be traced back to the year 1914. The university was known as Zhejiang Economic Technical College when it first started its journey.
There are 57 undergraduate majors, 17 teaching institutions in the university, and over 15,600 full-time students currently studying here. Apart from that, there are 13,000 adult education, undergraduate and junior college students. The university has 8 affiliated hospitals, including 1 directly affiliated hospital. Supporting as a backbone there are over 1,700 faculty members.
It has a sustained employment rate of over 97% with excellent teaching and quality graduates. In addition, there are more than 30 university-enterprise cooperation education platforms such as Alibaba Industry-University-Research Base, etc.
