The institute was first established as an Agriculture Department of Concord College in 1936 then converted to Provincial Agricultural Institute in 1940. After that, I didn't have to look back. Though it is named agriculture and forestry university it has not limited itself only to these fields. The university offers multidisciplinary education which includes: science, business, humanities, engineering, and other programs. The university offers a total of 72 undergraduate programs, 23 first-class master’s programs and 11 first-class doctoral programs.
The university has 4 campuses covering around 790 acres of land and 7561.425 acres of teaching forestry farms making it one of China’s largest and most beautiful universities.
