Changchun Institute of Technology is located in Jilin, a northwestern Chinese province. It originated a few years after independence in 1953.
Then, by merging Changchun Higher college, Changchun Institute of Technology, Changchun Water Conservancy, and Electric Power in 2000, the CIT was formed as a public university predominantly focused on engineering and offers courses in management, business, and humanities.
